VÉRTICE safeguards the defence of public international law and of human rights in Colombia. Through legal, pedagogical, research and advocacy action, it promotes respect for international law — in human rights, IHL and transitional justice — and observance of the constitutional block in relation to the country’s international commitments.

We are an instrument of containment against the threats that today weigh on Colombia’s international obligations and on the constitutional block. We act against any attempt to disregard the country’s human rights commitments and against setbacks in the environmental, human rights and peacebuilding gains that affect the most vulnerable populations. We raise our voice for the principles that sustain international relations: the sovereignty of peoples, human dignity and the collective pursuit of peace.
